The kids then got a half hour break and headed over to our second show of the day/night, 'The Timpani Tussle'(Hosted by Marching Timpanis(and other percussion instruments)).
It was a slightly larger PIO turn out, with 9 total units competing.
WPT placed 6th with a 59.600.
The ensemble also won Music Performance(17.875), and Visual Performance(6.925).
Overall it was a decent day for the unit, given the immense changes made to the schedule at such short notice.
Wolfs Percussion Theatre currently ranks 2nd in PIO in Music Performance, 2nd in Visual Performance, and 18th overall.
Due to the change in the schedule I have taken the ensemble out of our schedule competition for this coming Saturday.

HOME SHOW Rained Out
Due to very very nasty weather, FMA has imformed The Directors that any shows on the 27th will be re-scheduled for a later date(hopefully sometime this week.) I will have the results for that show once it has finished.
However, do not fret WPT fans for this was only slated to be day 2 of our 6-day grind fest to open our return to FMA Competition. There will (hopefully) be results from the rest of the week.

Drums in the Zoo - Results
After 3 season's off Wolfs Percussion Theatre returned to FMA PIO action on Monday October 26th, 2009.
The Ensemble competed against 16 other Open Class Groups at 'Drums in the Zoo', hosted by Hyperion.
The Ensemble scored a 57.320 and finished in 9th overall.
While the kids were disappointed and hoped they would place better than they did, I believe this was an amazing result. Considering that nearly the entire ensemble is brand new and we have not competed in 3 season's, this is somewhat surprising.
The ensemble Took first in Music Performance with a 17.125.
They also took first in Visual Performance with a 6.510
WPT currently ranks 2nd in PIO for Music Performance, and 4th in Visual Performance.
Hopefully the kids can keep this up and will be ahead of the pack soon enough. I'm proud of the ensemble and look forward to our home show Tuesday evening.

A Wonderfully Shocking Turn of Events for WPT
For those who have been following this season, this news comes as no surprise. For those who have not been able to check the standings lately I have wonderful news. Ever since opening day Wolfs Percussion Theatre has been ranked in the top three of Open Class!! Not only that but the group has finished in first in all but one show this season!! This is an incredible turn of events. This past off-season the kids worked incredibly hard and that work has payed off now. At this rate they will finish the season wearing at least a Bronze Medal.
I am so incredibly proud of the kids and all of the work that they have done this season. This is a wonderful way to start off our third season in F.M.A.
